ILE D’AIX
Unlike its neighbours, the only access is by boat. The island charm of this little 2-mile long crescent, with its soft colours and fewer than 200 inhabitants, is reserved exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists. Small bays, holm oaks, pines, tamarisk, broom and gorse line its coast. This island with its wild character provides one of the best views of Fort Boyard
ILE DE RE
The island paradise of Ré is on a human scale, whose charm never ceases to surprise the visitor. Each if its ten villages is situated by the sea. Four of them have ports which shelter fishing vessels as well as sailing boats. The Baleines Lighthouse, the ports of Saint Martin de Ré, La Flotte and Fier d'Ars are among the most renowned sites. |
